Is there anyone out there willing to do a cheap engine rebuild if i deliver them the engine? I have bought the entire kit to do it, just needs the expertise ;-) - as close to gloucestershire as possible :)

Cheers guys

i can lend you a hand if you want to do it yourself, im in abergavenny and dont mind poppping up if you get stuck. just put mine back together although havent dropped it back in yet and fired it up.

dandan

hmm, two rebuilds on the go at once.... lol no i better not, but there are loads of knowledgeable guys up bristol way that might be able to help you out. :)

antrosser

Wow, thats very kind of you dean. Did you find it hard to do the rebuild? i have the dvd\'s and looks straight forward enough, but im not too sure about it. if i touch it, it will no doubtedly never work again! lol.

What guys bristol way would be able to do it do you think dandan?

cheers

Grizzly

Have a go your self? the hardest bit is getting the Motor out and all the Pipe work etc off it. Its not Hard.

antrosser

cool ok, will give it a go and see what happens. just need to find someone to do the porting and polishing. a garage is in the process of taking it out at the mo, so might get the engine back soon. scary!! lol

Grizzly

If you think the engine landing on your door step is Scary wait untill you remove the Upper inlet manifold :)

BTW what fueling are you going to run with all this extra Air your going to be Putting through it?

deanflowers

i would say its harder putting everything back on the engine than it is rebuilding the block,

probedb

Dean, you\'re welcome to pop up and help with mine when it\'s finally out of the car and cleaned up ;) So far I\'ve removed the intercooler plastic pipes and discovered a broken check valve.

Hi,

Give me a call if you\'re still interested in someone doing the rebuild whilst the engine is out.

Its about 140miles (2.20hrs) to get to my place from yours but I thought I\'d at least offer you the option.

Usually charge about £1,495 for the rebuild, but as you already have the parts there would be a significant reduction off this price.

Regards

Greg

Still going to Germany, have you not got that flying landmass airborne yet?!
Let me know if you head down to Tims anytime soon and I\'ll meet you there for a chat if you like, I have to bug him about a few things anyway.

Sorry, bit off topic. :)

Dave helped me with mine. He\'s nuts: he enjoys doing it! :p
