Hi Prince,
I would go for the one that has already had the rebuild, i bought mine knowing it needed a rebuild at 49K it\'s tempting i know to go for a low mileage one, but the way i see it is you can never know how much antifreeze/ corrosion inhibitor the car has had over the 10+years, the reason mine failed before i bought it was the cast housing (front plate) on the front rotor had rusted away, so there was no longer any support for the actual seal. mechanically my engine would have had a lot of life left in it, it was the water seal that failed, the bonus for me is i got the model i wanted, then got the engine rebuilt by an expert with all new housings Plates and anything else while we were at it, 2 years trouble free motoring since,

i went for the low mileage option and have had no dramas with the car at all. thing is ALL the components have only done 35k so you are less likely to get bits and pieces failing - bushes, joints, seals etc. it should be a long time before i need a rebuild as i only use the car at weekends.

Rebuild one I think, would depend on price and stuff too, if all exactly the same, yeah rebuild one. Although all other components would only have 35k on too so tough call really!

Low miler... the rebuild means pretty much bugger all :)

Well still go for the rebuild for me, i know what you are saying about low miles less use, but there is still the age, mine had only done 49K from new, not a lot! but age has an effect on rubber bushes as much as use does, A car i\'m going to collect from RX motors this week for a mate had done exactly 36K and the water seals went! Seems to me Most failures we read about on here are water seals not mechanical failure,

I\'ll side with Bob on this one.

Buy one already rebuilt by a reputable person/company.

As has been said, many of the things that go wrong (solonoids/bushes/etc) are due to the age of the car not how many miles it\'s done.

IIRC In Japan they have to pay a pretty big fee to keep a car over 5 years old on the road each year so many of the cars that get imported have been sat for a while with all the bits and pieces slowly rotting.

RX7... The Deep Pocket Rocket...

Depending on Who has done the rebuild no2 for me.

Mint low miler - Mine had only 30K when I got her - she\'s mint! but still 10 years old so things will fail anyway, still mint though.

Did I say she was mint?
