I\'m getting a little frustrated with trying to buy a power fc in the uk for sensible money!!! The ones on ebay all seem to go for around the 420+ mark and I just cant stretch that far for something I dont realy need!!!

I was up a mates house the other day and he was showing me on the skyline owners club, that they were organising a group buy from Nengun for monster IC\'s with a decent discount, and the guys were prepaird to pack them all seperatly and send them as indevidual orders to avoid the import taxes!!!
Has anyone here tried to get a group by on power FC\'s from them before??? they are advertised as shipped for £368 I think....... what could they do it as a group buy for???

worth researching???

IIRC ReWorx do a deal on an apexi with a mapping session,  if your gonna need it maped, it may be worth your while. I\'m sure other tuners on here may do something similar.  Also a lot less grief if it goes wrong.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Regardless of how much you get just the unit, your still going to be charged import tax and then you\'l need it mapping aswell so thats an extra £300+...also you\'l need the commander

Jit

you dont NEED the commander. Its good to have i spose to keep an eye on temps and knock, but definitely not essential...espcially if you have gauges..I find gauges easier to read as well

You\'d have the comander in the package mate... thats the only way nengun sell them!!

i was going to get a power fc but with apexi+commander+map its looking about 450-500.. this is 10% on the cost of the car and you would never get that money back if you sell it with it.

Is it really worth paying this amount to get the apexi and commander? i run mine on shell vpower = 99octane plus octane boost so its running just over 100 octane like it was designed for.
its got hks air filters but everything else engine wise is stock.

Jono FD3

Was that 450-500 with a remap???? if it was where was that from??? as I\'m looking at going to around 300wbhp!! and the P\' FC is needed for this!!

You need the PFC or a programmable ECU to tune the fuelling I think?

You could try putting on a full decat exhaust system on and filters...I think the standard ECU will be on the verge of what it can cater for.

As Jono said, £450-500 including a remap is very good! Mine was £450 just for the PFC and commander and that was second hand.

To be fair it\'s a small price to pay for your car not going bang!

anthony

maybe it was just for the pfc i was thinking of, that was reworx.. maybe it was more like 800 including map etc..

i think keeping mine stock will be the key then and then if i want to start getting exhaust etc i should get the pfc as obviously like you say the ecu is not designed for the extra fueling with all the extra air flow being added.

Jit

The standard ecu will not cope with the decat. I reckon exhaust and filters will be ok with v-power as long as the cat is in place.
