EG is less efficient at transferring heat than pure water so in theory I suppose you could see higher engine temperatures as the EG content of the coolant increases. However, increasing the % EG also increases the boiling point of the coolant so while you might see slightly higher engine temps you\'re less likely to get localised boiling which is far more damaging.

Purple Ice is a good additive for helping cooling and anti-corrosive prevention.

Genarally guys are using 2 bottles, some using 1, its an additive not a anti freeze replacement.

What i would like to know, Is there any diffrence between your £5 a gallon Antifreeze and the top flight stuff thats more like £5 a lt ?

Also if you use Water wetter or an Additive what advantage does it give you over std Antifreeze in say 50-50 ratio? Is it just a Rust inhibitor or does it make the Antifreeze more effective?

It does not make the anti-freeze better, it makes the engine run cooler and adds corrosion protection.
