Ive also been reading and viewing these forums for about 6months until today when i decided to register after i got hold of a UK spec 3rd Gen late 1999 model, came up for sale spotted it in a local ad went down and brought her straight away once she checked out. Got her back up to my place this week once im settled in on here ill post pictures/forum etc.

But one thing i would like to know from you guys if you dont mind throwing a little advice in my direction, i want a free flow exhaust system (current exhaust system is not stock, but i dont like the look or sound of it), i also own a 2000 Nissan Skyline R34 V-SPEC which i fitted the best and most highly recommended exhaust system for it a HKS hyper muffler, now being new to the rotary world even though i have read pages its not the same as the real knowledge and experience so if you guys could help what is the BEST exhaust make and system to use on an RX7?

Thanks in advance.

Rixio

Depends on the setup and what you want. Different exhausts have different characteristics, some give more power but no torque etc etc...
Most free flowing exhausts on rotaries make a pretty rough growl compared to the smoother rumble on a skyline ...There havnt been many tests on the different exhausts but i know that the HKS Super Dragger is sh*te! Racing Beat is very free flowing, KSP is good, usually the louder the zorst the more free flowing :)

Thanks man for the reply much appreciated. At the moment im keeping her stock with the intention of modifying her later up to about 320bhp in the short term at least. Im mainly after something that will "look" right on a rex, look is a big thing for me i hate exhaust that look out of place and im sure you know what i mean. Do you know if APEXi are any good with rex\'s? I have HKS on my Skyline and GReedy on my Supra so i kinda wanna go for something different with my rex, ive been looking at veilside systems, APEXi and other obvious choices just as 5ZIGEN & BLITZ amongst others but i pretty much wanna stay away from HKS and GReedy for my rex to give it its own personality if you will.

What does everyone else run in here? obviously being new to owning a rex i have the knowledge but lacking the experience, so your help guys is more than welcome.

Any opinions or advice would be appreciated!

Make a post in technical and ask people what system they have on their cars, i know that the Blitz Nur is a popular one

Guys iv never seen any of you in Leeds, i only know of one rex and i saw it at Halifax when i went for an interview a few years back...i think i saw a glimpe of one last week going past the Audi garage towards Beeston?

I\'m in Clifford mate.

Had a silver one which I sold to Gman in here, who I believe has just sold it on again. Looking to get a new one around April.

Can\'t believe you never saw mine, C-West kitted with a silly loud exhast --- always parked outside the Thai place on the high street.

Congratulations on buying the fastest colour.
