Expand the \'Regional\' Forum section ?

Has there been a suggestion before to expand the Regional section of the forum to split the UK down to Scotland, Midlands, South East etc etc ?
Would it be better this way for locals to chat amoungst themselves and share info on garages, specs, meets ??

Works very well in the Scoobynet forum, I don\'t think having a location against a profile is enough, and for general aspects of chat the current forum layout doesn\'t promote a regional feel. It\'s easier to organise local events this way for starters.

Depending upon the use of the sections, e.g. Arranging meets, FD spotted etc I cant see it being a bad thing.

Both of the above posts are suggested ways of improving our club and thats great, ideas always welcome.

Howenver, imo, the best way of improving our club comes from increasing the membership and we can grow etc.

I note that both the above suggestions come from guests, why not join?

I totally agree - but I was under the impression that membership ran from Jan to Jan.  Is this not so?

I think I read that if you join after Sept, then it will run to the following Dec/ Jan. So I\'m waiting until another 3 weeks before I join for obvious reasons !!

Yes it works on Scoobynet as there are loads of them,

we have still got quite a small community so spliting it up would not be the best thing to do, however if you wanted a Scot corner it would make sense so you can chat to more local members, but the other sub-sections such as midlands and so forth would be a bad idea due to the low numbers :wiggle

Membership is currently valid from now until 31st December 2007.

Please note that membership fees may increase with effect from January 2007 so if you are looking to join, you could save some money.

Just remember one years\'s membership is less a tank of fuel to run your Rotary. You also receive disounts on events, RAC membership and car insurance.
