Seat frames again

Could someone confirm this for me please.  Can you fit the seat frames for MX-5 mk-1 into FDs?

no, they don\'t fit.

And RX-8 seats dont fit an FD either.

Saw some nice recaros (look same as RZ ones) on the net.  The runners on them are for a mk-1 mx-5.  They look real similar to those in FD though, fixing points, width angles etc etc.  Was hoping a member with both a FD n a mk1 mx-5 could have a look for me.

I got my RZ Recaros from ebay. The limited edition MX-5 had the same seats in (just like that set that\'s just finished on ebay). You basically have to cut and weld the brackets to suit the standard fd rails. Even then they sit too high. I\'m currently trying to adapt a Bride seat frame to fit so that they sit lower.
