I was wondering what brand of mapsensor you guys use if you upgrade it to a 3bar item?
Is the one from Apexi 3 bar.. I thought so.. but I am unsure now..

And how do you wire it up/set it up if you are using a Power FC to control it.

I think the map sensor that you get with their crap boost controller kit is a 3 bar, but I dont know of a source for these on their own!

Most people upgrade to the GM 3 bar sensor.

The apexi 3 bar boost sensor is very good i\'ve been told, they aren\'t too cheap though.

I just brought a GM 3 bar from a guy in the US on eBay - $87.95 all in and there was no charge at customs - seems like a good price.  Came with the wire tails as well.  It\'s a 5 volt unit and works down to vaccuum, which means it should measure about 29 PSI boost (2 Bar).

Company name was Fast-Turbo.com

I also think the Map sensor from the boost controller kit is a 3bar version.
Because the one supplied with the D-Jetro Power FC\'s(MAP sensor version for non map sensor cars such as 200sx) is. Can you plug it to the same wires/connector as the oem MAP sensor goes to?
The APEXi one do seem like a good choice.. I can get you the part number for it if you want to, could be usefull..  Or if anyone has it it in front of you it would save me some time as I dont have my s14 anymore.

Ok Guy\'s

Part number from APEXi is
499-X001 For the Map sensor
49C-A004 For the Wire.

Question is: Would it be possible to connect the map sensor to the port where it\'s supposed to be for the Boostcontroller kit..  As that is where it\'s going on the D-Jetro versions.  Otherwise the wiring could just be connected to the oem wire?

I use both a GM 3 BAR sensor on my FD and 3 Bar Apexi sensor on my drag-FC. Both are superb working and there is no issue with both of them.
If i would habe a choice between them, I just would go for the cheaper unit and this is the GM sensor. Them are very cheap (check summitracing.com or atpturbo.com) just about 90 USD mark.
The installation is straight, splice in, PFC config and you are done.

Get a remap of your fuel map, as few values will requere adjustments.

NO ROTOR, NO MOTOR !

Thanks Iwan.

One question though.. Is it the same connection between the APEXi mapsensor and the OEM cables.

That would make it alot more "plug and play" and a neater enginebay, as the APEXi unit is much smaller..
