Red FD,Carlisle (near racecourse) Sun 11th June

Got the thumbs up from a Red FD on Sunday heading back from Carlisle racecourse.

Nice to see another FD in the North!!!  And a rather nice example it was too!

That may have been NixRX7, he lives near Carlisle over the Border.

Was\'nt me, though i do travel down that road a lot as its my route to work.

I believe there is now another Red RX in the Carlisle area as several people at work said they waved at me over the weekend when they saw me out in my car.

As i spent most of sunday in the pub it definatley was not me, but i would love to know who it was though.

wont see me for another month or so either car is off the road at the mo, need to get my RE-A front end fixed, WI fitted and numerous other jobs, but as i get married in 6 weeks money is being diverted in the wrong direction, then theres the workshop to build (after the pit is finished) the list goes on and on, but i\'m sure one day i\'ll get some spare money to throw at the rex

He was quick on the draw too, came round corner onto roundabout and he had his thumb up before me (and he had to work out mine was defo a 7 with a daft front end too!) :Hammer

Will keep looking!  I sometimes see a couple of \'7s in Newcastle (not off the forum), but no one ever waves back when your in a Golf :xconfused

Actually I may know who it is. When my car was dropped off by the bodyshop owner he said someone who knew me from the club had asked for a respray, so if not nick then it must be the lad from Penrith. Forgotten his forum name, something DJ !! (Coz he is one)  That will be why he recognised your 7 Chris.

I have seen the one in Penrith, thats a red one with red rimmed wheels on it, was up for sale on here a few weeks back, though when i saw it, it had a mazda standard spoiler on it.
The one everyone at work saw had an RE-a spoiler like mine and deepdish silver wheels also like mine,  thats why everyone from work thought it was me.
so either he has been adding a few bits to his or there is an unknown RX blasting around the Carlisle area.

I have spoken to someone in carlisle with a red FD, but he was from Dumfries. I did mention the forum and he said he would check it out. That was last summer.

Hi Ian / Everyone else

It was me on sunday just on my way up to the race course for the show. Nice car chris had to tell my m8 it was an RX he thought it was a porsche :-). Tried emailing you yesterday ian, was impressed with your car at the show, very nice paint job had a chat with one of the lads bout getting mine done. Put some links to pics of mine below.

Many Thanks, it took quite a while to decide on a colour. You must be the one who has asked for a Candy Red respray then. That was the other colour I looked at.

I think I know that road BTW!  She looks good, what size wheels are you running ?
Thinking of adding a kit ?? I have a Gram Lights front bumper, which happens to be ready prepped for paint by the bodyshop, LOL.

Externally mine is nearly finished, just the Interior to do then I can hit the engine. My e-mail is: turborex @  myway . com   (just delete the spaces)

Chris, his brother and I are hoping to get some Car Shows in if you are interested in coming ? The next one is Fast & Modified I think, Sunday 16th July.

Yours looks well sweet, was looking at the same kit for mine.
