Well I bought my RX-7 today, a \'96\' RZ model ( it seems that there is no room for my son afterall !!)

The seats are just so fine !!  mmmmm kevlar mmmmmm recarommmmmmm bilstein mmmmm doughnuts

Anyway it was impoted in May this year and comes with a full service history from Japan, completly standard apart from a Turbo timer and Skyline wheels ( I will be replacing the wheels as soon as I find the funds ). In fact the service history from japan is mint, and was serviced before schedule on most occasions.  Just a few parking dings to have removed - please let me know if anyone knows any good paintless dent removal companies in glos.

For those who know the sarga of my search for the right REX, I could not convince Steve to part with his single turbo beast and finally decided to go back to the initial RX I had looked at.  Ironically enough in Cheltenham, where I live !!.  Anyway, it was now fully valeted and I got my head around the fact that if my son wanted to go in the REX i would have to adapt a baby seat to fit somehow !!  Went for a spin with the current owner and it was amazing... I am well chuffed.  It was (just like Steves) very very fast..  It pulled amazingly and is in excellent condition.

I thought it was as fast as Steve\'s, but I suppose a second or so quicker 0-60 is hard to tell with your eyes shut !!

Anyway a couple of questions....

Does anyone know where to get the drivers side door storage cover thingy from - it is missing this.

Also the car has a very \'tarty\' Pioneer (carrisoni, or whatever they are called !!) double din stereo with TV front.  Is it possible to get the Satnav/TV function working in this country ? (I will update the model info on Friday when I pick her up, will also post piccies!!)

Insurance was £660.00 from AON, Cheque is in the post for membership - looking forward to talking rubbish face to face with you all in the future.

Tomson

Chuffed - I think so !!!:rollin :rollin :D

Andy T,

I\'m from Johor Bahru near to Singapore. So are you Malaysian? By the way, do you own a RX-7 too ?

maximtaylor

I spent my earlier years in Singapore and was born over there.

Enjoy going back every now and then, but RX\'s must really hate the heat - but the high humidity must help...
