Hey guys..

As some of you may know, me and another guy from Retro Rides went to Japan last weekend (26th-28th) for the Nakayoshi Hot Olds Association meeting.

Not much in the way of rotary power on display :( ...

But I did snap this on the highway back to Tokyo:

And I was in a Mazda Persona at the time! :)

Fingers crossed we can get some more comprehensive old school j-meets in the UK.  Maybe next Rotorstock I\'ll try and whip up a few more J-maniacs in the UK, missed it this year because of the aforementioned NHOA...

are the oldschool cars a fairly common sight on the streets then or are they kept locked away for special occasions ?

HoTWire

We didn\'t see any older cars on the road in Tokyo (except 1 beetle)... so they arn\'t that common.  However nearly all the cars we saw were modified in some way, lots of cool looking Hiaces and things like that.

I think it might be different when you get out to the rest of the country, it is really hard to own more than one car and live in Tokyo.

I reckon I could knock the collection down to one car if it were a nice RX3 coupe :D

thanks for the vote of support for Rotorstock4 I hope that whatever form its in we can grab the attention of the old school jap crowd ... they are MORE than welcome to attend :)

I think everyone is looking for the new old JAE ... I think Rotorstock\'s only problem is that its called Rotorstock... but fingers crossed we can get some more old school j-tin there next year..
