Ever since recieving my bad boy from japan the abs sensor light remains on when the car is running.  Didnt bother me until yesterday when i locked up and careered towards a wall smoke bellowing from the tyres OOOPS!  Any one have any idea what to look for?  I have a vented bonnet and it looks as if one of the vents sits right on top of the ABS thing in the engine bay.  Thanks in advance.  Dave

Hmm prob not what your looking for but my ABS was terrible so I removed it from the car altogether, it\'s not too bad a job and makes the engine bay a lot neater.

It might be worth considering if the unit is faulty..

Do you have a single turbo? if it isnt well shielded (like mine wasn\'t) there is an abs line right by the turbo coming from the driver side wheel and if this gets melted through it will turn the ABS light on, so I was told. Can\'t see this actually stopping the whole system from working though, but worth a look. :)

ABS systems usually work by if the light comes on on the dash, then the whole system will not work.
