I recently became a convert to the third generation RX7 - after driving my new car for the first time I became completely addicted and decided to swap my modded R32 GTR for a far more exciting toy!!

The car recently came over from Japan - I will post some pics up in the next day or so.  It has a full roll-cage and looking under the bonnet - seems to have just about everything else you could want! :)

Unfortunately there are a number of items that have been removed/pinched on the way over to the UK including the boost controller - wiring etc is all there. The car is extremely quick even at 0.9 bar however seems to be fuelling like crazy as if it were set up to run much higher boost pressure!

As a complete newbie I wanted to ask a few questions from those in the know:

 - where is the ecu located? - so i can find out what it is running
 - where is the best place to get one of these set-up properly?
 - what make/model are stock turbos - would say by its performance these have been changed - it feels as quick as my  500Bhp R32 even at 0.9bar - and I have driven a number of standard RX7s and these do not even come close to the performance from this monster!

Any help advice on unravelling what I have just bought would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

gday & welcome mate,

Ecu is located on passenger footwell on the left. You have the door scuff plate to take off and two clips to undo to remove the black cover that hides the ecu.

don\'t know to your second question but I guess you could get it on a rolling road to get an idea of how the fuel side of things is througout the rev range.

I believe the standard turbos are Hitachi units.
What details do you have on the car ? don\'t you know if you bought a single turbo  or standrad twin ?
Sounds like it goes well. Look forward to pics and spec.
