Been watching this Rover V8 engined TII on ebay - what do you think it\'ll go for?

How do you think it\'ll perform - be a bit front heavy presumably?

That\'s sacrilege if you ask me! Although it does look like a pretty impressive install.

My bet is that it won\'t meet the reserve. I think it looks (and probably sounds) great but with a car like this you would have to make sure that whoever did the conversion did a damn good job on it. I can just imagine all sorts of overheating problems if it wasn\'t done right.

i\'ve been watching it aswell, does look like he\'s made a nice job of it.
the V8 is the rover (derived from Buick - spelling?) one so its aluminium block (nice a light)
I remember buying one from someone with a P6 rover (to go into my MGBGT)
his good lady was in when i went round to collect. she walked out the house with the engine in her arms, dumped it in my boot as said \'there ya go\'
i couldn\'t believe how light it was (ok it was minus the heads inlet manifold & carb and she looked more like a he)
should perform ok, loads of torque and v. easy to tune for more grunt

I\'m pretty tempted but i\'m getting frustrated I can\'t find a nice TII with standard engine at the moment. Maybe I should hang on...

For me, the main attraction of the TII is the motor, so I\'d hang on, but the V8 does give you some tasty options â€" I\'m thinking a TVR lump... :burnout

OT but you don\'t live in Batheaston do you? Or at least go through there. I saw a gunmetal TII through a month or so back.

There are several up for sale at the moment on the site - and some nice examples - just need to use your negotiating skills to get the prices down !! ;)

I did do, but moved to just out the other side of Bath a month ago.

Well looks like someone else got it on \'Buy it Now\' - but look what I just won!

Bit of an impulse, but with a new engine on 4000 miles and full MOT can\'t be too shabby!

Nice one mate - £650 for a car with a recent rebuild is a really good deal. Let us know how you think when you pick it up!
