My RX7 is still screaming !!

I have a 1986 rx7 fc n/a 13b without air con and power steering...  and it is screaming at 3000 rpm.
We have put on a new fan belt, checked it, replaced the water pump and had the alternator reconditioned, but it still screams like a fan belt would, however, it just doesnt appear to be this.
The car is due for a service next week anyway, as I havent had it long and want it checked over, but I would like to resolve this prior if possible.
I am at my wits end, any ideas please ??

(Did you remove the power steering?)


When the fan belt was off - did you check the water pump to see if it was smooth etc.  Sometimes the bearings can fail and make a hell of a noise.

Is it manual? - any difference with the clutch in?

there has never been power steering on it since we\'ve had it, and the water pump was removed and changed with one from Jimmy\'s in Norwich.

I\'ll have a try in the morning putting the clutch in, I hadnt noticed that it made any difference, but will check ... thankyou.
