I replaced my Swinging arm Bushes as well, So i removed the hole rear swining arm assembly and messed about with it on a bench :)

dont want to be a kill joy - but this doesnt look like a nice job to do. good luck Stu!!

It don\'t involve cutting and Grinding so how hard can Undowing a few bolts hammering some Bushes out and refitting be????

I\'ll be quite honist, The worsed bit is getting the Bushes out. I cheated with the rears (i had a press) but the Ft\'s i Burnt the centers out with a Blow torch then i found a socket that fit around the Arm without Fouling the sleeve and beat the Hell out of it with a Big hammer and chisle :), I\'m told you can make the knocking out bit easyer buy cutting the sleeve with a Hacksaw (make sure its square though so you don\'t mess the  Bush hole up too much)

You\'ll waste it... If you like big hammers its an Advantage :)

If your feeling a little Girly you can always nip down to your local Garage and get them to Press them out for you?

i don\'t know if this will help, but when i was changeing the control links on the rear suspension [looks like a small dog bone with a bush at each end] an important tip i got from the local garage was to nip up all the bolts, lower the car so that it was resting on it\'s wheels[as this is how it normally sits] and then fully tighten the bolts, other wise the bushes will be constantaly undertension trying to twist themself\'s back to the position you locked them out in.

good luck with your job, its looks a mite tricky.

its defo a summer job to be honest !!

and could take a while

pip said anything from 1.5hrs to 5hrs per side - dependant on how things come out

i suppose it looks worse on paper than it is - but im a big fan of hammers and breaker bars - so i might give it a go

it it makes the car go in a straight line - then im all for it :D
