My engine is getting close to it\'s first service and I am in a bit of a pickle as to which way to turn.

I have the following options.

1) ReWorks
2) Tim @ Blandford (sorry can\'t remember the company name off the top of my head!)
3) Mazda dealership.

The reason for my indescision is simply that the Mazda dealer is just down the road and the other two I\'ve listed are a bit of a drive away so it may be more economical for me to go to Mazda.

I am thinking that there isn\'t much can go wrong with a basic service if I took it to Mazda, and the last time I was there buying a couple of parts I was chatting to a mechanic and he said he had  experience of working on FD\'s.

My last point in possibly going to Mazda for servicing is that I would get Mazda service history which would be good if I ever (god forbid!) decided to sell.

What do you guys think??

Rob,

I wouldn\'t think that having Mazda dealer service stamps on our type of imported cars is worth it. Do you have all the Japanese history (and can you read it). If I was interested in buying a car off of this forum, apart from knowing it\'s rebuild history, I would be happier if Re:Worx or Tim at RX Motors had serviced it and you had the paperwork to show.

At the main dealer, it may not be your mate who does the work. It could be the work experience boy with his single adjustable spanner !!!.

Dont take it to MAzda!! Id say take it to Tim at RX-Motors

the only and last time, i spoke to someone at mazda regarding serviceing: They asked me what i wanted doing, plugs, oil, fuel filter (think that was it) and they asked the usual how many miles does the car have on it, i said 44k and they said it was coming up to cambelt change mileage, so i should have that done at the same time !!!!!!!!!!! but without the belt change it would cost about £400 for the service :(
I wouldnt waste my time with any mazda dealer :Nono!  :cool

Don\'t think it will be on price or where they are, rather than when they can fit in?
they all seem so busy at the mo.
