Timing the 13b NA........lined the yellow up with the leading, but the trailing T1 lead is aligned about the same distance as the red mark is from the yellow mark, but on the other side? Is it possible to fit it the wrong way round?

Steve, not sure what you mean here? what do you mean by the "lead is aligned".

Did you take the pulley apart?

pulleys been pulled apart.......

Basically when doing the timing, the yellow mark is, ATM aligned with the leading coil when i use the timing light.

When i connect the light to the trailing coil, the pointed (at the crank pulley) points the other side of the yellow mark from the red mark.....

make any sense?

Cant beleive no one else has posted ??? Holidays?

Could you possibly give us a piccie?   I dont know what the timing should be on that motor, but on 12As theres a whole range, and it depends on the year.

For example, the Leading could be 5 degrees before TDC with the trailing 20 degrees after.

If I remember correctly your car has a 13B, is it from 2nd gen? If so, you can get the Haynes manual.

Its OK! i think ive sorted it now. Runs much better. Some pillock had put the leads to the ignitor on the wrong way round!
