Has anyone done this?

I don\'t really want to cut one into my bumper and having one attached to the bottom of it looks silly.

I bought a couple of second-hand reverse lights/reflectors for the FD so obviously I can fit a bulb ok but what should I use to turn it red?

Any help much appreciated :)

Cheers!

Hello Paul.

I am using a RED led bulb in my reverse light housing to make it into a FOG light.

Donato had a post where he had used red tinting spray from halfrauds on his reverse light.

I hope that helps,

Ian

just paint the right hand reverse light red. easiest way to do it, halfrauds sell the paint as pointman said but nail varnish works just as well! (my girlfriends not mine obviously!)

Why, was your own nail varnish the wrong shade of red?  :D  :D

sorry, couldn\'t resist  :wiggle

Cheers everyone! Will go get some spray tomorrow when I\'m near Halfords having the alarm sorted. Got a spare set of lights so I can have a play :)

Why not turn the 3rd brake light into the fog light?

Not sure it\'s bright enough. It\'s something like 18.5W and the reverse lights are 21W. I just have to get under the rear bumper and rewire it now. Have one red reversing light now...just a bit of cutting and soldering left.

Sorted :)

Just want to get a red bright LED bulb so it\'s absolutely red when on but it all works and no hideous thing below the bumper or fitted into the bumper :)

Very nice.

It looks like a factory fit item :Thumbs-up
