Apexi PFC from japan on ebay

Anyone bought from < these > guys on ebay?

£399 + shipping

Is it likely that the PFC display would all be in japanese?

I got mine from these guys and I DID have to pay customs on it. However, I think others have also bought from these guys and NOT had to pay...luck of the draw I guess

duty on auto electronics is about 3.5-4% of total cost (i.e. cost of unit + shipping) then add VAT of 17.5% to unit cost + shipping + duty. Some couriers (parcel farce for example) also charge a handling fee of about £15-£20.

so lets say the shipping on this is £40 for arguements sake:
£400
+£40
£440 + 3.5% £455.4
£455.4 + 17.5%  = £535.10

so if you get caught out with customs you\'d be looking at about £535

I\'d love to know why the FC3S Power FC is almost 3x the price, I guess they were manufactured in very small quantities.

I don\'t think the PFC for the FC is a plug and play, I think the extra cost is partly down to less demand and partly down to the need for a custom loom. Go Microtech, much easier!

true, unless you are lucky on the customs front, or you can find a supplier in the US or Japan who are REALLY cheap.

Yup with the customs, VAT, and Handling Charges by Parcel Force it cost about the same as it would do in England.

didnt buy a pfc from them,  bought some used hks hard pipes. they arrived within 7 days didnt pay any duty and they even worked out £5 cheaper than the ones i missed out on here :p

I saw that on ebay , had a word with pip at wgt and he\'s doing them at a very similar price with the VAT , as said previously if owt goes wrong you have a bit of comeback , besides even if you miss the customs and VAT your only saving 100 beer vouchers , theres always interest maybe someone should do a group buy on here ( not me got too much on my plate at the mo )
