Exhaust has gone

Was working fine until I fired it up and all of a sudden it sounded like I was driving a tank.... no warning, nothing, just fired up sounding rough. So finally had it on some ramps and had a look. the middle section is knackered. The cat box has parted company with the exhaust pipe and blowing strongly there, also the back box which looks stainless steel has a nice rusty hole in it too  :2Confused  :rolleyes:

So need to source the parts.

Has anyone bought one of these off ebay? Do they fit OK and do they give any extra increase in the ponies? Im guessing the car would need to be remapped with the car replaced? or not?

Time to find a nice back box too.... Like mine but think it would have come from Japan with the car though. Has the name printed on the underside of the box actually, forgot what its called now, began with J I think.

Ahhh right, fair enough. Anyone experienced Dragons straight through mid pipe? looks like the one in the ebay ad I posted.

If it goes for that, then its very cheap. I bought one from Re:Worx whilst I was down there getting the car mapped. Cost me £100 (they matched Dragon\'s price).

I have a dragon one, fitment for mine was a bit of a byatch due to flanges not quite being inline (prob down to my existing system rather than Dragon)
plenty of steam sealant paste between and its sealed as tight as a ducks a7%e

Well reckon Im almost convinced on the Dragon midpipe if I can find a suitable back box. Otherwise the Mongoose full system on ebay looks OK for £320 delivered.

Bet you are pleased that its not your downpipe then davey my boy. As i said before i have a cat and back box which you can have to tied you over, that saves you rushing to find one. I thought about the mongoose exhaust, but then you will be like the macdonald crowd, got to keep it Jap :Tongue1

Ahhh G man, I thought you said you had the Downpipe not the centre section... might be an option then Take it both pieces are standard? Cant be leaving it like that for too long lol

Ive had a look at a few things like HKS etc but at the end of the day once its fitted whos going to know what make it actually is. Its the one thing Im not too fussed about aslong as it looks nice and does the job its good enough for me
