Gents...(and ladies?)

SO here I am... I hoping to get my grubby little hands on a RX7 coming from Japan in the next week or so (through Patrick at Group20 - What a nice chap!). This forum has been very useful in providing answers to all sorts of questions I had regarding rotary engines and the 3rd gen RX7 in particular - Thank you all very much.

But... I am planning to use this car as a daily driver on a round trip of about 35miles or so - Should be a hoot as I\'m moving up from an Omega:D but I figure I can\'t just take this thing to the main dealer as my experience of the monkeys at Vauxhall garages are not good so sling\'ing a rotary engine at someone more used to MX5\'s would be unwise. Any opinions on Mazda dealers?

Anyway...If I do my own oil changes every 3000 miles and spark plugs every 6000 miles what else needs doing? What do other people do that use these cars daily? My nearest specialist is in coventry and I do have use of another car (my wifes) but I think I\'ll miss the RX7 too much to be without it for a few days.:(

Any tips of the trade would be welcome!
Thanks again
Mike

Mazda used to have system whereby to be an RX dealer they had to have like an "upgrade" to their dealership. Ford have a similar scheme with thier RS range.
The dealers at Leicester and Cambridge are RX dealers or least used to be.

My local Mazda here at Peterborough USED to be. Ive taken my second gen there several times and always had good service. A lot of the guys there remember working on RXs with some nostalgia!:)

My personal opinion is that Mazda people somewhat better than your Vauxhall/Ford types:D

Going to a specialist however ought to be the best course.
