Let\'s see, right side window is down, so that\'ll be the driver side.
So, a silver UK FD at the Ring.....
Errr, Max? :D
I just happened to be watching the webcam for a couple of minutes :)

Did you have a good time, even though it was wet?

Yeah, I expected you to be there too, but then saw you being on here today. Ah well, Easter then :)

Yep, Hohe Acht, could be full due to VLN but that got cancelled sometime last week.

Hehe, always work, texts like that :D

Yes, shame about the weather, though it would have been very slippery anyway from the salt and melt water. Did high 11\'s myself in the pooring rain with the MX, but I\'m sure that\'s easier as it\'s fwd and doesn\'t bite back as hard :).
Will be there Easter saturday, in the MX-6, don\'t see me selling it and getting a Rex in just 3 weeks :).

Andy, here\'s the direct link to the webcam, it\'s update once a minute :

Yeah, Max wondered if Frank knew that the VLN was off!

I think rain was honestly about as good as Max expected - it was still under a couple of feet of snow not long ago wasnt it?

Look forward to seeing u in April Rene, as I\'m sure Max will too.

Andy - not stayed in the hotel as yet, only eaten there (and downstairs in the PK) a couple times. But generally all the places u hear of that are regularly frequented are all of a pretty high standard I think...

Oh and the Tiegarden is in Nurburg, so track is 5-10 minutes away.

I think Frank, and many other hotels/b&b\'s, will have ended up with rooms empty. Looked it up, the VLN race got cancelled only thursday! There was still a lot of snow along side the track, and rivers of melt water across the track.
The rain will have had one benefit, washing a lot of the salt away. Better for the Rex :).

If staying in Nürburg, be sure to warm up the engine properly, too tempting to immediately go onto the track.
I used to do 3 or 4 laps Nürburg - Ed tankstelle :). Except for one or two times when I slowly warmed up on track, very very hard to keep going that slow :).

Tiergarden is about 5 mins drive you can see the circuit from the breakfast room if I rember right. Max was saying the track is V slidy. but still he can make the toll gate go up on it\'s own when he drives up to it. Bastard ( i beleive that is what most off the txts going to him have siad :) )
A small turbo

I\'m back in one piece! Woohoo!!

Arrived Saturday at 1650, skipped the hotel, ran into office, bought Jahreskarte, went on track 5 minutes later with the car still full of crap.

Track was really slippery, worse than just wet. Had a few hairy moments including a scary one at Angstkurve and then gave up. Rivers of water across the track, especially at Brunchen II.

Retired to the Hotel, got ****ed, Rob felt ill........

Got up Sunday, Rob stayed in bed, did some wet laps, picked up Rob, did a lap, Rob hurled chunks, returned Rob to Hotel.....

Did a few more laps with a dry line almost started to form.

Monday afternoon the track finally dried except for at Fuchsrohre which stayed damp the whole time. Did some reasonably quick laps. Mid 8\'s. No traffic, empty car park - bliss!

Met Bren with some of his biker guests and did a pax lap for one of them, followed by a sighting lap with me in front, being they were Ring Virgins.

Finally left the car park at just after seven, and regrouped at the Pistenklause, joined by Bren, Suz, the two bikers, a Aussie Porker driver and an Evo driver.

I spoke to Sabine at the bar and explained how I\'d found the track conditions on Sunday.
She\'s offered to give me some training next time I\'m over (at a price of course).

Just arrived home now, knackered but glad I went!

John Yorke

Nice one Max :Thumbsup! Would like to have Sabine give me one......Training that is :Tongue1

Rob has a picture on his phone that he took just as we were leaving, I\'m sure he\'ll post it up, and you\'ll be jealous John ;)

maximtaylor

Well, I can\'t beat Robs pic :(

Do you like it wet sir? Do you sir?

John Yorke

Nice one Rob, Mr \'Gut bucket\' Taylor would poison anyone  :King  I would think Sabine would be a good bet once you have the laps under your belt to gain from her vast experience :Thumbs-up  Look forward to seeing in the next week or so Max :2eek
