oil catch tank

hi all

need some help and advise does anyone know how to plumb in a oil catch tank on FD

bought one from ebay but have no idea how to plumb in lol :2Confused

and some info why some people use one? :2Rolleyes

Hi matey,

we use the oil catch tank to remove any excess oil in the system, stop it from blowing around the engine.

Not sure on the exact fitting but Pip did mine and it looks alittle something like this (single turbo though)  :cool

oil filler neck theres a pipe fitting on there

ok thnaks so where does that loop too as the catch tank has a in and out

as gurj has done(atmosfear) i think or back in to the upper manifold theres a pipe niple there same size as on the filler neck,

has anyone else got some input on this before i attemp to fit it lol wish me luck

if ur fittin it to suck from the manifold fit a one way valve,if you dont when your on boost it will presure the sump,

still not fitted more help need have not got a clue what i nam doing or were that pipe at ment to go and from

One pipe goes from the catch to the oil filler neck and the other goes from the catch to the floor, its just there to release pressure. I have a question of my own though, i have two pipes coming out of the filler neck one pointing down and one horizontal. I know its the horizontal onew it goes on but what do i do with the other pipe that its connected to now, do i just block it off?
