Thought i would post a couple of pics of the current state of my car.

Engine is back in after i re sealed the sump, turbo pack is off and waiting for the single turbo to go on with the larger secondaries.  I\'ve got a bit stuck as i am not too sure where bits go! so can\'t go too much further till a get some help.

what bits are you stuck with Graham,  apart from waiting for the turbo.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Gman

I now have the turbo so i can make a start measuring up for the downpipe and the oil lines.

I am stuck with where all the plugs go on the wiring loom and basically the whole fueling set up and what is needed for the single set up, piping, solenoids etc.  So not much really!

antnicuk

are you about friday late afternonon?

I thought the connections were all different so can only go on one way?
The only place Ive heard of with the connections was the injectors?

Gman

With the wiring loom its a case of finding the connections! it will just take a bit of time, the diagram in the manual shows the general area they go but not in too much detail.

Tony i will be around on Friday from 4pm onwards.

All you need to worry about marking are the three plugs going to the back of the thermostat housing and the low water one around the front of the housing

( be careful about the green plugs as one of these is a heat sensor and will fit a water plug)

Also mark the injector plugs as the primary\'s will fit the secondary\'s.

That\'s it, just carefully tape all the others up.
All the best Clive

G, here\'s a start for you mate, hope you can read the writing/labels, bit of a muther as I\'m using someones prehistoric laptop with sod all software etc!

Jeeze that took 20 mins and 2 pc restarts just to post that shot!  :2Confused

Ok you got 4 injectors as pointed out in the shot.  You are replacing the upper 2 (redheads) with your 1200\'s, this is a simple case of pulling the 2 that are in now and dropping the 2 new ones in..  Carefull when pulling out as I have seen some that were a right b@stard to come out and the corners can get broken/ cracked etc.
A bit of vaseline when putting the new ones in will help.
Find the 2 plug/connectors that fit these now(matching pair).
Also on this rail in the center area there is a green \'sensor\', this is the fuel temp sensor, try finding the harness plug/connector for this and fit..(you can run without this anyway)

The bottom rail with the 2 injectors close together(I think green heads?), no need to touch.. try to find the connectors that go with these from the harness, should be easy as they should be a matching pair with not much between them as the injectors are together.
This should be 5 harness plugs/connectors out of the way now.

Ok, now as Clive mentioned, there are 3 harness plug/connectors that will go on the water/coolant filler housing/neck area.. from memory I think it\'s a black head, brown and green head sensors and one has a common type plug to becarefully with.. If you can find these 3, then you are more or less done as the rest are more or less redundant as I see you have the Alternator and other bits wired already.

Oh, there will be 3 more connectors you will need but I believe they are on a loom at the back(firewall) area that connects to the underside(2) of the upper intake and one from the TPS on the Throttle body firewall side.
You won\'t need these until you are ready to refit the manifold, more or less last thing to do...

Another thing you can do in the mean time is get the Alternator Pulley off and the Water pump pulley off(the one to the left with the four 10mm bolts) as you are fitting the airpump removal kit!

It was a bit of a dance typing this here so bear with any little mistakes, also I haven\'t seen a Rotary in weeks to remember the colours and location of wires etc..  ;)

 Good Luck  :Thumbs-up

Thanks for that Dom/Clive should i swap my secondaries with the primaries?

Also some of the connectors are bust so won\'t click in, will they pop out easily?

TRex

Hey mate, I am a glutton for punishment with this pc here!  :2Confused

No don\'t swap the primaries and secondaries as the 1200 should be enough for what you will be running.  There is also a minor modification to be done to the primary insert to allow the secondary 850\'s to fit.
Knowing what you will be running, I would leave the primaries as is!

Not really a good idea to have the connectors loose or easy to jump off as say one of the injector ones popped off while giving some iron, can be bad.   But saying that, i have a couple connectors that are also not locked in as the tabs also broke off and i have had no issues...
Depends on the fit really, mine fit pretty snugg and tight.!

What could i use to hold them in better?

TRex

Probably electrical tape or similar...

Seriously doubt i am going to get this finished ready for the brands track day.  Been so busy starting a new role in my job and lack of light i haven\'t been able to do a lot.  Still awaiting some thermo tec tape so i can fit my turbo for real (didn\'t arrive this morning :Grrr ) so i thought i would do a few other bits but woke up this morning with raging temperature and can hardly face daylight let alone working on the car.

Thanks to all those who are helping;

Dom
Tony
Clive

and others who have given me advice on the forum, next goal is RSIII that i am defo going to be ready for!
