Mor than likely the speedo has been chiped like mine!! basicaly its an electronic speedo so all they do is solder a little box inline to the speedo, so then instead of 180Kmh you have 180mph. so ifyou wonderd why everyone was traveling so slow on the motorway......... it was because you were doing 120!!!!!!!!!

One to think about in built up areas with speed cameras!!!!

i am pretty sure the speedo is reading correct as it is in miles and the km reading is in the middle.  if i cruise at 70ish on the m-way it is simular to general traffic, so it def wouldnt be that much out.  the counter is in miles i am sure if must be it is just funny it lists km as the units.  therefore i think the millage could possibly be a miss match of miles and km.

one2watch- i am in my second year, doing motorsport technology, you driving a rex at the moment then?

I sold my Integra and my FC Turbo II last month to buy an FD which all being well, I should have next week!

Ive found one...i think...spent long enough looking!! As long as all is good, then i should be sorted! I dont see the point in formula student either....exercise in timewasting if you ask me! I wouldnt mind seeing yours actually maybe one day if youre about....

I am just wondering i am sure it is, but is it normal that 200 miles (of which 120-150 are purely motorway miles) should be costing me £50-£55?      equals about 15 miles per gallon ish.

FD\'s drink fuel for a living. 15mpg is not unusual. Depends what speed you\'re doing, how hard you are on the car, etc, etc. But, unfortunately, 15mpg is not unheard of....in fact, it\'s quite common!

yer, well after spending £250 of fuel in the first week of owning it it is a little harsh.  but well worth it dont get me wrong.
just wondered whether it might have been because some mods werent set up properly etc

how about this one, when i get to 7500rpm my car beeps, does that mean change gear, or you are over reving me?

It\'s a change gear buzzer. Means you are getting real close to the rev limiter. Mazda installed it as the rotary engine is so smooth, it\'s difficult to tell without a little reminder that you should change gear.

some one told me if i use the cruise control i will get better mpg  do you know if there is any truth in this?
