Was changing the rear pads today, one side done with no probs.. but was just re-bolting the top of the caliper back when it all went loose... Damn!
As I pulled the bolt out it had the remains of my thread on there! I decided to clean that off and see if it would still bolt up - which it does, but... only a little more than what I can do by hand, it won\'t slide out on its own but I\'m a little worried about it.

Can anyone get it re-threaded with a new bolt to fit, or should I be looking at a new caliper? They are the 16" rear caliper BTW. Obviously I could swith to the newer calipers on the back but I think it\'d cost a fair bit as I\'d need new rotors aswell as calipers, any help most appreciated! :WaveBye
Cheers

Ben - not sure that driving if it\'s not bolted in properly is a great idea.  FOr one thing, it\'ll only work looser and not tighter.  Ask James B what it\'s like when a caliper comes off when you\'re driving...

Can\'t really comment without seeing it but err on the side of caution with the brakes Ben. Give Clive a shout he\'ll probably know someone local to you that can fix you up or do it himself.
