Thud

Headlights look good - you\'ve convinced me and now I\'m going to get some too. The silver backing on my lights are starting to flake so a change was only a matter of time.

Nice car BTW - I always liked that gray colour

dont you even dare mention a clutch to me :(

im going thru the same thing to be honest - i darent do it alone - but i have been offered a 2nd hand one and fitting for £200 - so i might just do that - and i only do 1K a year - so if it does 5 years then thats fine with me

i ( like you ) have done all my own work on the car - its just the clutch - im more worried about it going wrong and it being stuck on the drive :(

a clutch from the states will set you back about £140

in the UK a mazda one is about £255

up-rated ones - you dont really wanna go there - last quote i got from a tuner was something like

£475+vat and delivery+vat

it came to a HUGE figure in the end

and most people in my family hate the FC aswell - its too much to run , it old , buy something better - thing is no one will go in it with me so i can show them how good it is , because " you drive like a looney" - thats my mums only comments on the car !! LOL

Thats the reason why I changed my headlights cuz of silver thingy started to flake and I am sure you gonna like the new ones.

thats wierd.  for some reason my GF totally hates it or perhapst its the car not just colour :)

I was thinking of redoing the paint on it and making it 2 tone with yellow( or gold) top and black bottom with black and yellow( or gold) wheels but that will have to wait for a bit.

Grinder:

If I go for a new clutch it would cost around $158  and its already stage 3 soo if u have over 400bhp u should be ok with it.   Here is the link for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XTD-STAGE-3-RACING-CLUTCH-KIT-86-92-RX7-RX-7-TURBO_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33730QQitemZ8041819889QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Perhaps we can work on it together??  when I get the clutch it shouldnt be that hard to change it together as long as we figure out a good way of doing it or find a hole to put the car on to take the gearbox off :P

thing is matey - we are over 200 miles apart :(

the clutch is ok - im not running that power - its just the shiping cost to the UK - thats another $100

and i cant get a shipping cost off anyone - i found a clutch - and they just wont give me a price to ship - mailed them about 20 times

so gonna go with a UK one i think :(

dont,  I got the shipping price from 2 companies on ebay and both of them said $90 which is a lot better then the price they give in UK.

As for the 200 miles apart... well its not such a big millege tbh... as long as u have facilities to work on the clutch I will be more then happy to come over :)

i wish i had the space and stuff to do a clutch - but i dont - the drive isnt wide enough to walk down both sides of the car

and the front of the drive is on a slope

i have looked at this over and over again - and doing it on the drive is a NO NO ..

so $90 for shipping - so you are at $250 ish ( so thats about £130 - great if you avoid customs ) - then you are looking at £120 + vat for fitting - so its about £280 once you finish

prob is £200 and i can get the job done and 30 warranty... i just dont know what to do to be honest ... first thing is the MOT :D :D

and i only need a stage 1 clutch i think - most the car is running is 240 at the fly - so not massive figures - but at WOT in 3rd - the clutch just doesnt hold up :(

although in 1st you can leave nice black lines down any road - its 3rd like i said at .8  bar - forget it - it really wont hold it

and i need the car ready for RSIII to try and get the 100mph on the 1/4 ... so little time and no funds to do it :(

this would prob do : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda-RX7-Turbo-1-3L-1990-1992-Stage-1-Clutch-Kit_W0QQitemZ8043009586QQcategoryZ33730QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

there is just that many to choose from - and i dont really want a 4 or 6 puc clutch as the car is for street driving and i dont want it toooo hard to use
