Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help me out here, my starter motor has compleatly gone so the rex is now at the local garage waiting to be fixed  :mad:

They just rang and said the cheapist non genuine starter motor they can find is £300  :eek  i knew it would be expensive  but wasnt quite expecting this!

Sooo my question is...... is this what they normally range at or does this seem a bit to expensive??
I was going to try ring around my self see if i can find it cheaper does anyone no of any good places to try??

Many Thanks  :wave

Jimmy\'s, or Dragon, or WGT...some of the specialists basically. They\'re all likely to have something. Dunno about prices though.

You can e mail Wav from here;

Sure, he must have one lying around at a fraction of the cost. :)

Are you/carage 100% sure it\'s the starter? if it is i would have thought RX motors in Dorset would have a used one.

You could try Jimmys (banner at top of page)

I got mine from there. Second hand, but has been in over a year now with no probs. Reasonable price about £70 i think, and great service to boot.

Dont let them rip you off with the fitting, its 2 bolts and two wires, and nothing else has to be removed so it should take no longer than 15 mins off and 15 mins on.  I wouldnt expect to pay more than an hours labour in total.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

They should have had it sorted by now then as it was nearly 6 months ago ;)
