on the rear side of the throttle body of a 13b? looking at the crankshaft pulley, there is a pipe with two connections to vaccum hoses on it. What does this do? is it essential?
Also, why mustn\'t i undo the crankshaft pulley with the engine in situ? i need to remove the front pulley....

I think we need a pictures, but I think you might mean the system that prevents some of the throttles opening when the engine is cold.

Part 2 I dont know, I think it might be something to do with the bearings behind the front cover. I seem to remember reading somewhere they can fall down or at least move if you remove the pulley, I hope others will comment.....

Part 1 - Need a picture.

Part 2 - You can remove the crankshaft pulley by removing the 4 off 6mm bolts, BUT DON\'T remove the middle bolt that is in the front of eccentric shaft.
