hi there,
im thinking about buyin an rx7....after talking to my insurance company they say i can ony have a uk single turbo, not a twin turbo (an age thing.must be 25+)....i have ben trying to find ino on this non import sinle turbo (elephant say its around 1993 age) i am old by many ppl that there isnt a single :xconfused  can someone please fill me in with whats goin on lol

Sounds like they are talking about the 2nd generations RX7 which was produced before the 3rd generation twin turbo.  Here is a pic:

Yeah, I reckon they mean the 2nd gen RX-7: The FC. Not the FD.

I agree with Ian. \'92/\'93 was the time they introduced the 3rd Gen RX-7 twin turbo to the UK.

My experience with Elephant is that they don\'t know their lion from their hyena.
The expansive range of RX-7\'s doesn\'t help matter either.
Saying that, some people from this club are insured with them and rate them - I think it all depends on who you end up speaking to.  I spoke to two people there and neither had a clue so I went elsewhere.
