i am a new fd3s owner.  the insurance company asked me if the car was a type R or a type S.  how can i tell which one my car is? Does it say on the log book?

J.j.

Open your driver side door.  There should be a sticker there stating what model it is.  hope this helps   ;)

Freddy

It could well be on your log book. Failing that you should have a stick on the highlighted area in the below pic (mine has been removed).

The stiker should state the model code, variation and variou other info including Typr R, S, X, RZ etc etc

Just what I was going to say.  Yeah, the type S only has the one oil cooler.

my friend says my fd has 2 intercoolers, one for each turbo located in front of each wheel.  i said it cant be, as intercooler in just behind the radiator....so im assuming it is oil coolers...there for being a type R!
