Hiya fellow FC owners

im thinking of putting 2 gauges in the top air vent

im thinking of setting them slightly apart and then drilling holes in the centre to still allow some sort of air flow thru

the main questions i have

1 - is this do-able
2 - it is easy
3 - how do i get the wires from there into the engine bay - so i need to just drill a hole thru the heater pipe thingy ?

stu

( if anyone has some pics - that would be nice tooo :) )

I thought you already had three?

Anything is do-able..

I supose if you don\'t use it?

Bugger... I\'ve just noticed i\'ve just gone over 1000 posts.

Yeah anything is do-able... but nothing seems easy on these FCs no matter how much planning you do :D

Anyway on the subject of gauges, Started installing mine today. Took out sentre panel. Removed radio/tray section. Fabricated alloy plate to the same size then drilled holes for gauges (Oil temp and water temp). Gonna rig them up tomorrow (already done the kettle test) and got myself one of those top water hose adapters from that guy you got yours from :D) Good quality for the price!

Anyway heres some piccies if your interested of my days work  :bandit

Chris - i have 3 gauges already - they are .. 2 under the radio , 1 on the idiot light , i need to fit 2 more and the top air vent looks like the ideal place

Sounds like the heater holes are ideal then grinder, thats quite a few gauges you have! :D

I cant hear my radio with the interior removed - no sound deadening or carpet and straight thru exhaust so im not gonna miss the radio :D
