Anyone know the size of the belt that is required for the alternator/water pump when the air pump is removed? My one is at tyhe end of its life and need to get a replacment...

Your help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Not sure on the size mate - I\'ve got one at home so I can check when I get in. I still haven\'t got round to removing the air pump and fitting it yet

You might want to give Clive (Shy Auto\'s) a call, since it was Clive that supplied the belt to me - reasonably priced IIRC.

cheers, if you give me the ref number and make on the belt it would be appreciated.

not really much point in me ordering one from down south and paying delivery, belts are standard sizes, cheaper for me to get one at a motor factors next door to my work...

Anyone else got it handy today??

bobster

474 seems to ring a bell ....  that\'s what I have written down anyway.

Let me know if it\'s right  :D

If you go to a decent motor factors place ( I use Andrew Page , think they are national ) they should be able to find the belt if you give them the length

Just in case you don\'t know how to measure it easily , wrap a bit of string around the pulleys , mark it and measure it

Finally tuned - 317.3rwhp :burnout (thats 374.4fwhp for those who like bigger numbers)
