i paid £400 for one with a blown engine - so at £500 it could be OK - worse case - break it for spares and get some £££ for a good one

with all the FC vultures around here its not a big problem :D

keep us all posted though .. would be nice to see another TII live to fight another day

TRex, I do agree! But unfortunately I must have it  :rollin :D   It\'s deffinately a risk but if it does all go pear shaped then it\'s an expearience.  I can, as Stu says, still break it for parts and recoup SOME of the cost but im not kidding myself that this would make much back.

That probably sounds a bit negative! I can still go there ready to pick her up but if im not happy then I can still leave it.

Just dying to get my teeth into a project!  :evillaugh

i paid 700 for mine and had to do 300 quid worth of welding so thats a grand already... i got all the parts i needed for roughly a 100 pounds and now i just need to get it sprayed up. im doing the body work myself and its a long and hard work but should not cost too much as im planning on stripping it and fully preparing it,

if you buy it mate you will qualify / be able to join in the 100 mph terminal comp?

i reckon we made about 1000 - 1400 when we broke the TII - so you SHOULD break even no probs - thats not the point - you have to get it running again :)

I did start to read the 100mph terminal speed thread when it first got posted - ill have to have another look and see how it has all progressed.

I usually just click on new posts and read whatever looks interesting or a laugh (havn\'t had a chance to check out todays Hoff Friday yet! :p )  But lately I have been spending a lot of time in the 2nd gen section for some reason :D :D :D

Oh it\'s not your car that your selling to Ricco then...
I was under the impression that it was yours selling as he did mention the car was barely a runner and near scrap!

Well as soon as it\'s at the garage then I will get some photo\'s and put them here :cool   I am using my sisters garage now - god its a right mess!  I have got to refelt the roof as its leeking and clear out the inside - it\'s horrible!!!  There\'s all kinds of mold, insects, bad smells - and a double matress!!!!  :eek

Got about 8-9 hours driving!  Not a problem - I have managed to borrow a Diesel Discovery from work (very nice of them) so only need the fuel bill for that & the trailer!  :cool

Im pretty much going from Worcester to Brands Hatch and back again and I shall be waving at all RX\'s I see :D  :cool

Ricco_04

All set to leave first thing tomorrow - about 400 miles in total!  :D
