If im honest then I do like the FD shape better but I have one of them - im so lucky - it\'s a good job I dont have a life!!  :rollin

Thank you for the kind comments - and thank you grinder for confirming the splitter!!! What a git I am :D:D:D

I read on hear that there are paint issues with white TII\'s (and some others)  The primer is still on so just the paint has just come away so no rust.  The primer is so smooth so the paint has very little to grip hold of so when a stone chip (or whatever) starts the flake, the rest will follow.

i thought it was something simple like that, it is a bit odd that it only seems to effect white, still a v. nice buy. i\'m sure you\'ll have plenty of fun in this, and your just lucky to have both :D

Ooh, as for the engine bay shots, i\'ll try over the weekend.  It\'s thick with all kinds of rubbish so that needs a bit of a clean!  :wiggle

Looks good! A good project you got there, looking forward to seeing it progress! I got some photos whnen i picked up my Egi somewhere (It was a right shed but i had access to a turboII for free parts as it was being broke/crushed at the time - so i raped that for vital parts - i filled my mums garage :D) its nice to get photos as you go along to see your progress :)

Ill get some photos of the work i have planned for this weekend!  :D

Yes mate, get those photo\'s up, would very much like to see them.  :yes

Ok, not much happened since.  Washed her and she came up good.  Tried a bit of t-cut type stuff and flippin heck, what a difference  :)  (yeah, i know it\'s a cutting compound and all but there is not much paint on there anyway!  :rollin  )

Gonna give the bodywork rust a bit of a hammering over the weekend and then its out with the front interior to attack the floor!  :evillaugh

Just a quick question though.  I was asked why it\'s called a Turbo II, dont laugh but this is my response.....(was I even near!!!  :spank )

QuoteIt\'s just the name of the car : Mazda RX-7 Turbo II (FC). It\'s also just under the front side repeater.

Ok so doesn\'t properly answer your question so......

Mazda made 3 generations of the RX-7 (known as FB, FC & FD - from the chassis number) FC being the 2\'nd one - just a guess though!

ive got a white one mate and when i bought it the paint was very dull. body work and eveything in good nick etc. Used t cut and it makes such a difference. Good luck with the floor

grinder

my guess would be that that did a turbo version from 86-88 , then another one from 89 - 91 hence Turbo II ( and tha fact it has a twin scroll turbo ? )

Grinder wins the prize!  :wave

The S4 Rx7 with the twin scroll was just called the Turbo (86-88)
The S5 Rx7 with the turbo changed to a more tradtional setup was the Tubo II (89-91)

WRONG, he wins nothing!

The Turbo 2 is the 2nd Generation RX7 Turbo models... ALL.....

 1986-1988 Series 4 had both EGI\'s and Turbo 2\'s
 1988-1992 Series 5 had both EGI\'s and Turbo 2\'s.

Nope, only the earlier ones had the twin scroll with the moving vane inside.  Your cab is an S4 mate!
