Help Required

I will shortly be buying a house and getting my car back after nearly 2 years of being off the road.
I will however have to get it trailered back because various things namely the electrics and the brakes don\'t work anymore.

Does anyone want to give me a hand to get it through its MOT?

Ideally i need a new loom for the engine and for the dash and to pull the dash apart and to reconnect everything back the way it was so i can eliminate all the wiring problems this car has had.

I will have to pay someone to strip the engine and rebuild it again, but that is in hand.

Beer will be on tap for those that help, its an FC and i am moving to Walton upon Thames.

My life has been torture for the past 2 years not to mention spending £5000 and not having a functional car at the end.

Hey bud I will be in Canada, what can I do?

My suggestion is :
Find a place called Thames Valley MOTs in Reading, get the car in a sort of OK state, then take it to him for an MOT - he is a top guy, FD driver, and he will tell you exactly what needs doing, and show you where / what needs fixing. Which is something I CANT say for the tw4ts around our way.  

Reading is a bit of a drive, but all 4 of my cars go there only for their MOT\'s.

Mate i would of loved to give you a hand, but I had problems removing my wing mirrors without help from the postman!!! I am the last person you want working on your car.

I wish I could.. Id have loved to help you (or anyone) fix a Rex.. I know :almost: nuffin but keen to learn.. and Im a whizz at tea/coffee making and passing chit.. but Im a looooong way away..

I\'m not that far away from you, if you need a hand with anything give me a shout.  I\'ve not touched an FC but i\'ve done pretty much everything on my FD.  If not my mate works for mazda and has worked on a fair few FC\'s

I would offer to help but I\'d be useless apart from dinking your beer and destracting you with silly questions.

It\'s not too far for me to go and I have a friend who lives there so if you are really desperate then give me a shout.

No worries about it being an FC, its part FC part rover anyway, all pretty much the same when it comes to things like electric windows and such.
