I\'m running in the new lump in my TII, I\'ve noticed that if I take a Left hander quickly I\'m gettng fuel cut (regardless of wether its a flat bend or on a hill) but its fine on a right hander.  It does it regardless of how much fuel I have in the tank.
 Any thoughts?

Cheers guys!  :cheers

im thinking its a dodgy fuel pump try rewiring it?

grinder

tis ok brett - the 1/4 is in a straight line !

hotstepper has a similar prob on left handers - but his steering goes back to like the car is doing 5 mph - not 80 mph

all i can suggest is a bad connection - i would rewire the fuel pump to be honest

I\'ll take a look at the pump later, but tbh I have my doubts its the wiring, but then I doubted the car would be rusty when I brought it, so hey ho.

How much fuel is in the tank when this happens? Does it happen with a full tank?

The pump will be sitting on one side of the tank, so when you go around some corners with force, you could get air in the system.

Easy way to resolve this is to fit a swirl pot.

Swirl pot retains fuel in small resovoir IIRC, that way any interruption to flow is sort of smoothed out.

It does it regardless of fuel level, I brimmed the tank yesterday and still had the same problem.
It is a standard fuel pump.

ANy idea where I can get a swirl pot then?  I used to get similar problems on left handers with the EGI, but I was really pushing it when that used to happen.

Hmmm did it going down hill today, in a straight line over taking a lorry in 2nd gear.  Revs just hit a brick wall at 5000rpm, only came back to life when I let go the throttle and reapplied it.

could it be the pre filter on the pumps pickup ?

its been sat for a while so there could be sludge in the bottom of the tank ?

Brett

Thats what Im thinking. Goint to strip the pump and filter out at the weekend.
