And more importantly, shouldn\'t it be attached properly...?

Crap photo, but in case it\'s not obvious the bottom section isn\'t connected, it\'s just free. My level of technical knowledge extends as far as identifying it as a "big pipe", so any help appreciated.

MillSpeed

Yikes, that pipe\'s supposed to be connecting your turbos to your intercooler. Push the pipe back in and tighten up that jubilee clip.

stu0x

Thanks for the ultra-quick reply Millspeed, now reattached.

Make sure its nice and tight...

Call me paranoid but i\'m just gonna nip outside and check mine now...

Well just been for a spin, and it\'s like a whole new car. Seems like I was basically running on one turbo before - didn\'t get that "whoosh" until 4.5k rpm, whereas now it kicks in at around 2k.

ScuttleRX

Might be worth getting a new jubilee, spotted mine was close to coming off a couple of times, they seem to lose their grip after a while, new one wound up much better

my mate had that hose loose for the whole 2 years he had his rx...he only noticed last week...... connected it and now his tips have gone to rotary heaven :(

It sould\'ve been stealing your boost which would make for a very limp rex indeedy.  I\'m guessing you don\'t have a boost gauge fitted or you\'d have noticed it not making the correct boost (on either turbo)!

Yeah I\'ve got a boost gauge, I wasn\'t really sure what it should be reading though. Only had the car for 4 days, and it\'s been like it since I picked it up. Almost all of my miles since then were either around London or motorway though, I guess it would have been more pronounced on a twisty A road.

Glad it\'s sorted now, although more than a little disappointed that such an obvious fault existed when I picked the car up, to say the least.

ScuttleRX

Makes you wonder how long the bloke before you had been running with it like that! Perhaps that why he sold it, thought it was feeling a bit slow :D

Whats your boost reading now its all sorted?

Where in London are you Stu?  If you can make it along to the Dartford end of the world next tuesday (12th) there\'s a pub meet.  Direction in the mini-meets section.
