It is located above the differential. Kinds hard to see at first but if you remove the undercover you will see it better.

sid

thanks will have a good look tomorrow

Yep, next to (above from recollection) the diff; total bitch to change, especially without a ramp. Ahh, petrol down the arm and in the eyes, you cant beat it :-)

PS where abouts are u in Berks mate? N,E,S or W?

i just changed mine about 3 days ago.  it took me about an hour and a half to do.  i think unbolting the bracket that holds the fuel filter in place really made this job much easier...two 10mm bolts you will need a 10mm socket wrench, sockey extension, pliers, and a rag, because the fuel WILL go everywhere.  also dont forget to unscrew the gas cap.

sid

yes have fond it and done the job many thanks for all your help guys :rollin

Cool, there are a few of us around this neck of the woods. I\'m in Newbury (although my car lives at Geff\'s in Pompey (RE:Worx) at the mo!).

Hi guys,
Know it\'s a bit of an old post, but I\'m about to change my fuel filter this week and saw this thread.
I\'m in Maidenhead; didn\'t realise there were so many Rx7 owners around this area!  :driving

did mine weekend not to bad to do, i undone the 2-10mm bolts, pull 1 petrol pipe off and put a bolt in it and then with an old bit off pipe with bolt in it put that on filter where id just taken pipe off, then you can turn filter two get back petrol pipe off with out petrol going every where, that back pipe off plug that and then take filter out from car.
undo 10mm bolt that holds filter bracket together and slide old filter out and new one back in, do bracket back up and put back in car and last thing replace your filler cap,job done

Yep, just done mine. No fun at all. Petol down the arms and dust in the eyes every 2 seconds. The actual filter is located directly above the rear diff. ie. if you\'re lying right below the diff you won\'t be able to spot it! You\'ll probably end up hugging the diff to get a good two-hand grip on the filer/fuel lines! It\'s good fun.
Good luck!
