i am considering these mod\'s. what are peoples opinions on them? the benefits they would have on performance & reliability, value for money & if they are worthwhile mod\'s in the first place?

any opinions would be appreciated.

If you want to get rid of the air pump then you will need to get a underdrive pulley. I needed to do it to get a better run from the turbos to the FMIC. Does help to remove alot of clutter in the engine bay and they are alot nicer.
Water temps are still happy and the alternator still charges the battery at 14ish volts.

an underdrive pulley is really only any use if the car is going to see a lot of high rpm use, it helps the alternator survive for longer and prevents cavitation in the water pump due to excessive rpms. I doubt a road car will ever really see these sort of conditions and will spend most of its time at low rpm\'s where having an alternator and water pump running slower would be a disadvantage.

You can get non underdriven pulley sets to remove the air pump. (if you need to)

In conclusion its a lot of £££ for very small gains and the addition of some possible problems.

In Addition To Original Post.....gearbox Braces. Has Anyone Got Any Opinions On These? How Much Are They & Are They Of Significant Benefit?
