Hi All,

Boxer ( Mark) the editor of Fast Fours and Rotarys Mag in Australia is
visiting here for just a couple of days ( shame he is not here for Billing)
we are trying to give him some cars to look at etc on Saturday evening so if
any of you would like to come along to the Wharf pub nr Dartford tunnel
between 7 and 8 please do so, then on to Southend

below is a post l put up in the Mazdarotaryclub.com forum with details of
the pub etc.

Seeing as Boxer is in London how about meeting on the Sat afternoon or
evening at our Southern Pub Meet venue which would mean, there\'s somewhere
to park and take pics ,somewhere to run the cars ( real nice carriageway +
roundabouts to play on out front ), foods O/K for those who travel, easy to
find near the tunnel, and it\'s in the same road as Mazda Europe,so he can at
least have a peek through the windows! then cruise on down to Southend
maybe.

\'The Wharf\' (pub/restaurant), Galleon Boulevard, Dartford, Kent. To get
there from the Dartford Crossing- heading southbound into Kent from Essex:
take the 1st exit (Kent side) then follow the "Bluewater" signs onto
Crossways Business Park. Turn right at the second roundabout, (past Mazda
HQ!), go straight ahead at the next roundabout and it\'s at the end of the
road.

lf not see you all at billing.

All the best Clive

We had a good night out  with loads of footage being taken by Mark both static and on the move!!

Went to Southend ( seaside resort) and dodged the huge police presance and gave Mark the chance to see  hundreds of "modifyed" cars that are on the roads in Britain  , some nice and some not so nice!!

By the time this goes to print in his Mag we should be supplying Fast Fours and Rotarys through the club , be real interesting to see what he writes !

p.s thanks Danny for driveing Mark around the country all day to maximise his visit.

Not sure about Southend - that Mac\'s and surrounding stores look a lot like Lakeside Thurrock to me.
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

Thanks to Max for travelling the furthest distance, Ian, John Y., Steve C. and Clive.

Mark said he got some great shots and footage from the night, and a big thanks to Steve C. for letting Mark drive your car, made his night to get back behind the wheel for a while.

Ignoring a few silly individuals not on the forums, we need to build stronger links with the other rotary clubs in the UK, as we are so few in such a big car scene. We really should be working together more.

Dan

PS. Max you did manage to get *SOME* wheel spin in that thing of yours. ;)

PPS. Ian your car looks really good. :)

iaint

Thanks for organising it guys, it was a great laugh - although driving in the torrential rain made me a bit nervous after my recent spin!

It was good to meet a few more of the faces on the rotary scene and I agree - stronger links between clubs can only be a good thing!

Ta for the compliment on the car Dan I think I managed to get a good looking motor.

See you all on Sunday @ JAE?

Welcome to the club Iain :)

No doubt we\'ll be seeing  you at many events in the future!

Roll your arches and get your suspension sorted!

sorry could not make the run guys, was going to exeter and then up to scotland and back to run the engine in. Called into the wharf to say hello, on the way to see how steves doing, (5.45 - 6pm) not you had all gone. Got 1500 miles on the girl though, who the bloody hell moved scotland, swore it was closer than that.

QuoteAmen Danny.

We all need to start pulling in the same direction to a greater degree to make the most of our unfortunately insignificant numbers...

This goes for FDUK and MRC in particular I think.
