Right then guys - let see what info we can get

I could do with a new air filter for the car - and basically none of the local places sell them

so im toying with the idea of an induction kit ( cone filter )

seen some on ebay for not a lot of money ( inc a knightsport one )

SO.....

are they easy to fit ?
what happens with the pipe from the air pump ?

errr thats about it really

not looking for perforamce gains ( should get about 4bhp tops ) - mainly looking at decluttering the engine bay

is this a safe route to follow - or am i wasting my time ??

im hoping to run this with a fully decat exhaust system

idea/suggestions would be great

If we can make this a good thread - i will make it a sticky later on - or will add it to bretts thread about mods and make that a sticky

having looked thru the 2nd gen section - we seems to go over things a lot of times - so its about time that i pulled my finger out and sorted this section out once and for all :) ( he says LOL )

thanks

Stu

infact - im gonna start now and see if i can get some threads in a neat order for ease of reference ... this should be fun

......and for the ram air max flow kit

MAXFLOW FILTERS SYSTEM
RAMAIR Max Flow filter systems have been technically designed and developed to increase the air flow which maximises the engine\'s performance.
The engineered design of the housing in combination with internal filter utilises the cold air flow and in turn provides your engine with more power and torque.
At the same time the Max Flow filter system gives you an improved engine bay look and a superb induction roar.
Fitting instructions included to ease DIY fitment
Cold air ducting kit included

hope this helps

TBH A filter is a filter, as long as you steer clear of the steel mesh ones you should be alright.
Brap Brap Brap Brap

grinder

why stay clear of steel mesh ones - i thought thats what the K&N ones were ??

all confused now
