Excuse the cr@ppy diagram, only have MS Paint available.

Right, there are 6 pulley wheels (see image below), but what are they?

1 = Air pump?
2 = Water pump (ta Warthog)
3 = Alternator
4 = Drive
5 = Power Steering
6 = Air Conditioning?

If I were to get a FEED pulley wheel set (see second post in this thread for a picture), what pulley wheels do they replace?

Thanks

Chris.

FEED pulley wheel set, enables removing the air pump (I hope) - and yes, I am cat-less :)

#2
No 2 = Water Pump.

In the picture from left to right

Alternator, Water Pump and Drive shaft ( i think but not sure )

I\'ve only changed  Alternator and Water Pump on my car. Ask advice on changing the Drive Shaft one( if thats what it is ) as i believe you can mess up timing or something. Best check first. The other two are easy.
Tip -- if you suspect any leaks from your thermostate now is the time to take it apart --clean all crap out, renew and reseal, as its a pig to get one of the bolts holding it on out, with the new water pump pulley fitted, hope this helps.:wave

Yeah, looking at the belt configuration in the first picture, what you say makes sense, ta mate.

I have a damn squeaky power steering pulley - failing bearing, I was hoping that would get replaced, looks like a new part from Mazda now - cha-ching!

K1HKS arse

1=Air pump
2=water pump
3=Alternator
4=main shaft(eccentric)
5=Power steering
6=Air conditioning

Pulleys you have are as before(left to right)=Alternator,Water pump and eccentric shaft.

Hi Chris,
I was doing a search for "pulleys" as i also think my power steering pully is squeeling!-replacing the belts route done.
Where did you get a replacement in the end..if you have! :p
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,

I haven\'t got a replacement yet :( as it looks like the bearing is part of the power steering unit, so I need a whole new unit :(

I have the FEED pulleys waiting to go on as well, so will take a trip down to RE:Worx after I move shortly to get it all sorted.  They\'ll verify it is the power steering bearing that is fduked (I\'m pretty sure it is from experimenting with WD40) so I am hoping they can source a second hand power steering unit, else a new one from Mazda it is.
