Hi all,

I\'ve now got everything sorted on my RX (well, nearly, the speedo is still being very temperamental, but another part is on order, so fingers crossed), and I\'ve nearly compleated the sale of my 200SX, so after a chunk has gone out to pay off a CC I should have nearly £1k to do something on the RX with. I\'m thinking of either some nice rims or a Power FC and mapping session and a service (I know that\'ll be a little more, but should be ok).
What would you guys recomend out of those 2 or something else. And what should I be looking at paying?

TBH I don\'t know whats already been done to her. I know it has a Blitz bov, HKS filters and its lowered, don\'t know what with yet. I hope to find out more when I get around to visiting Dragon for the service.

Thanks chaps,

Lee

Lee,

Get the Power FC, mapping and servicing done first. You can get rims once the car is running properly matey, last thing you wanna do is get the exterior mods first and the car starts playing up so go for the reliability mods first.

Gurj

ps - my car is from Dragon so you are in good hands there :)

Thanks Gurj,

that was kinda the way I was thinking. Any ideas what sort of cash the power FC and mapping will be? And (silly, I know) but what will it actualy do? I think it adusts the fuelling, but its got do do more than that?  And will there be any performance changes? Oh, any replies in VERY basic language please, I\'m about as far from a spanner monkey as its possible to get

Cheers,
Lee

Lee,

Not good figures:

Power FC = £550 approx ?

Mapping = £150 approx ?

These will allow the car to run to its very best without too much risk of detonation, mapping will also adjust the car to Uk fuelling as the ron rating in japan is higher than here. Car will deffo run smoother and with the PFC be alittle quicker too.

Mapping will allow any problems to be brought upfront so you know how the cars running. :)

Servicing will get all bases covered as it may require plug change which will improve response, also oil filter may need changing too every 10,000 miles usually.

Give Ross a ring to see how much it will actually cost ? rather than me guessing matey, Power FC does come up in the for sale section quite often so keep em peeled and you might get a bargin.

Also check //WWW.FDUK.ORG which is the other main rx7 forum

hey you still got change to get yourself a Decat pipe as well, they cost about £200, that will give you a good power increase, plus let the rotary breathe properly and generate less heat.
