Very Very Cheap :)

Was just checking online around a few places to get quotes for insuring an RX7.
Info i gave as follows (dont own a RX yet so just said i was thinking of buying one)

Make: Mazda RX7 Type R import
Mods: None
NCB: 9 Years (protected)
Stored: Driveway
Milage per year: 10k
Age: 36

most quotes where between £700 - £1200

and then i found one for £364 fully comp
with £250 excess/ protected NCB
COULD NOT BELIEVE IT.

So i thought to myself, this cant be right, i\'ll phone them and get a quote. conversation went something like this.


Hello, can you give me a quote for motor insurance please.
certainly sir, make and model please
Its a mazda RX7 import
(followed by year/age etc)
One moment sir, let me just check the computer............Ah yes RX7, would that be a R,RB,RS type

Um its a type R (holds breath)

Ok sir the insurance for a Mazda RX7 Type R would be £364.66





Personally i think they have made a mistake somewhere, cuz that sounds far to cheap, but they gave me the quote and even sent me a nice email confirming it.

Think i\'ll keep quiet about which company cuz if everyone goes there they gonna smell a rat and might raise it up to summmit silly

i posted cuz i could not believe how bloody cheap it was.
Once i get insured with them and all the documents through i,ll probably let you know who it was.

I\'m sure if it was you you would have done exactly the same.

Thats the trouble with this country, something good happens to you, and when you tell people about it all the do is put you down, unreal

If you want to play it that way why didn\'t you wait till you had insurance and then post with all the details?

At least then you could back up this wondefull deal with the proof that there are no catches.

If you put the details up there wouldn\'t be a flood of enquiries, like most  ppl I\'m insured for a year and no matter how good it was I won\'t be looking at insurance again till December. So the law of averages would suggest only 1/12 of the ppl reading this are currently looking to insure.

I hope it works out for you but it does sound a bit like
"na na look what I\'ve got, cheaper than you and I\'m not telling"

Once i get all the details, i\'ll be only to glad to post it up.
Only reason i did not put who it was, was because i wont be using them for a week or two and i did not want to go back and find they had raised it by £500.
I was just surprised to find such a cheap qoute, and just thought i would post it up, nothing to do with "LOOK WHAT I HAVE"
If thats how it comes over to you then i can only apoligise.
And you are quite correct, it is a club, and i wont post again unless i have 100% information to share.
