I know this subject has come up before but i can\'t find the tread it was on.

I am in the proses of removing my Ps but i can\'t lay my hands on a none PS rack.

Does anyone know how to convert a PS rack to none and keep it safe?

Cheers

Why are you removing the PAS?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Grizzly

for two reasons. the first is i like thew feel of no PS, the second is i have a bit of weight reduction going on at the moment.

Hi Chris

l am sure you know this but you could fit an EGI rack,

If not you could take your P/S rack to a reconditioning company and get them to convert it because as you have already said, it\'s unsafe to use a P/S with no fluid going through it.

It wants to be an 86-87 EGi raack though, after that they had power steering.  (I think....)

Unfortunatly this is my problem, nearly all Na\'s had PS too.

The racks are like hens teeth!

This is why i\'m looking at getting my Ps rack done?

I thought about removing the Pump and leaving the fluid in the rack then conect the too pipes together causing a loop and the fluid just goes from side to side?

Does this sound about right? I just don\'t want a lack of steering whilst driving?

Ask around some of the Rx7 breakers, there cant be many rx7\'s of that era still on the road, so a breakers yrd might be your best bet.

I would think Tim would have one; we had one off him last year during the brief time we had a 20B in an FC, probably still have it at the workshop some where as its been swapped back to PS since...
