150 miles after getting the car back from a rebuild and its broke again! pushed the clutch down and the pedal just went floppy. havent opened the bonnet up or anything but would this probably be the slave cylinder gone??

modified

could be a couple of things.

1.  The piston on the slave has poped out of place.

You can check this by removing the inspection plate on the box and feeling to see it it is sitting correctly on the pivot arm that holds the Thrust bearing.  Check to see there is no fluid leaking from the gearbox as if the piston has popped out it will be ****ing out from the box

2. The thrust bearing has come away from Pressure plate(ususaly because the circlip is loose...this would send the clutch pedal to the floor..

or the slave cylinder is buggered..

hope that helps...best to get it onto a ramp and check

found the problem.. the rod connected to the clutch pedal that pushes the master cylinder had snapped! dont know how that happened but at least it was cheap to fix. sorted
