Hi

I am going tp fit some after market gauges, and thought I would ask which to fit, not what make but what type.
I am fitting a boost gauge aand water temp gauge but which other, I was going to fit three in total, MY rex is pritty standard apart from
Apexi air filters re-posistioned under the drivers lights, exhaust, de cated, FMIC, (Apexi and commander very soon)
I was thinking of oil temp or pressure for the third gauge but not sure which if any would be benificial to keep an eye on.

Any advise welcome on what the third gauge should be.

Cheers

Personally i would go for (and i have) oil pressure and oil temp, the stock oil pressure gauge if you have one is pants putting it politely and you really don\'t want to go giving it too much if the oil isn\'t upto temp. These i would think are the most important.

The third is probably more personal preferance, boost pressure possibly or maybe a second water temp, i will have both when i get round to fitting the boost gauge, i don\'t know where exactly the second water temp is plummed into the system but the dash water temp never moves once it is up to temp but the extra one is up and down like a yoyo in start stop traffic but once it hits about 100 the fans cut in.

There are loads to coose from but personally i don\'t really see the point of some unless you have a REALLY highly tuned car.

How about boost, oil temp to know when to hit the turbos when she\'s warmed up and EGT incase anything bad is about to happen ? Maybe fuel mixture too on Rexs.

Sorry for my ignorance and not wanting to sound stupid whoops too late
is this Exhaust gas temp?

Doh

Mark C

Yes thats Exhaust gas temp, not too sure why some one would need it on a mildly modded car to be honest, but then i\'m still learning about these cars too.

Could someone be so kind as to explain why we might need to know this?
