I removed the Origin b2 from my MR2 Turbo with haste (car was on fire).

Now I want to install it in the Rex - but am confused about hardwiring it in.

In the tubby, I paid for someone to install it - but would rather do it myself if I could.

Can anyone tell me how to hardwire the b2 into the Rex?

If you are just talking of hardwiring in the power supply so you have no coil lead from the ciggy lighter, the best thing to do is run the wires down the back edge of the windscreen and drop them down to under the dash by removing A pillar trim (pull on it and it should just unclip), then find a supply 12v supply wire and negative to earth on the vehicles body.

Thanks mate - hopefully will get it done this coming weekend.

...the b2 stops the woo-woos coming for me :)

you mean it\'s a device to warn you to get your pants back on in time when your "boining" the misses in your car :-D

Sorry, couldn\'t help it:D :bandit

U know I drive an RX7 right?

Speedworks

Me too, but I was only kidding you... I haven\'t been put on the side by the cops YET... and that\'s the only experience I could dig up from my memory...

SO, what\'s up with driving an RX7 and not getting laid in the car...

I could tell you how to but that would involve taking pictures hahaha

Anyway, small clue.. passenger seat and footprints on the front windshield (insside off course..

Now back to topic.... did you complete the wire up and did it work?

Top_gear_towers

Not yet no - I\'m wobbling between paying for someone to do it, and getting a mate from the Lexus club to help me DIY-it.

I\'ll post once it gets sorted out one way or the other.

Have you wired it up yet ?

if not its a piece of cake , all I did with mine was cut the ciggy plug off and spliced it to the wires at the back of the ciggy lighter

The only problem I had was when I nailed it the laser alert kept going off , spoke to origin about it and they sent me a ferite collar , electrical interference was causing the false alarm , this was a problem in the rex before I hard wired it aswell so if it doesn\'t do it now it probably wont after

Finally tuned - 317.3rwhp :burnout (thats 374.4fwhp for those who like bigger numbers)
